About
The Squarenimals are Good Folk. Homegrown in Greenwich Village they are black and white characters, with individual talents and quirks, that accept each other for who they are and know that together, they’re better. And they are your friends. Enjoy.
Squarenimals (BACK) Story:
One of my fatherly responsibilities was packing my daughter’s lunch each day. And each day I would place a little note lovingly on top of her sandwich bag... or her sushi rolls. Sometimes just a “hello” and an “I love you," some with little drawings and stickers, others a combination of all the above.
But it proved to be difficult to generate something cute everyday, especially in the morning... So I started making printed pages of Daddy-Doodled, “Squarenimals.” One friend on each page, easily accessorized with some scribbles of color and a handwritten note.
Soon after I started to drop in the Squarenimals, they stopped coming home. After the third day with an empty lunch box, I asked my daughter where the notes were. Smash looked up at me and said simply, “To my friends, Daddy, they want them too...”
And so it began.
